Just started school. Worried about AI.

Sup everyone. So I’m about a month into a two year cad/design program and getting a little concerned about the career prospects when I get out and how much AI will affect that. Quick background, I’m 38, body is wrecked from 28 years of physical labor, not interested in becoming an engineer or going beyond the two years of school at this point in my life.

I guess I’m just worried that I’ll get a few years into and get laid off and be unable to find a job because AI is doing the heavy lifting.

The good news is there’s tons of jobs right now because I live in a major manufacturing area. I just wonder how long that’ll last. Anyone have any insight on this stuff?
