Datin Kalavalli Sethu

Founded Compass Insights in 2008 after spending 20+ years spearheading various leading roles in MNC client (Colgate-Palmolive) and agencies (AcNielsen & Research International). She followed her passion and founded the company with a core vision to build clients’ dream with positive difference in the way marketing research is conducted, delivered, and applied. She is visionary in true sense and is well known for her passion in uncovering the meaning and insights behind numbers.

Business issues excite her – crafting the right methodology and adopting the best analytical tool to find the most accurate solution. Being multi-lingual, she facilitates group discussion, brainstorming workshop, and training at ease. She had counselled over 100 clients in over 40 industries.

Her all-round experience industry experience and technical expertise allow her to dig deeper for more meaningful insights. She was formerly the President of Market Research Society of Malaysia, a council member of Association for Promotion of Higher Education in Malaysia (APHEM) and life member of Education Welfare Research Foundation (EWRF). She won the prestigious Women Icon award in 2018.

Kamaruld Salleh

Kamaruld has worked for more than 30+ years in the area of research and market intelligence with numerous multinational and SME clients in Malaysia and within the Region. He started his career with Survey Research Malaysia (known as Nielson today), MBL, NFO WorldGroup, and TNS.

He is a thought leader and practitioner in market intelligence and market research with experience gained in Malaysia and the region. He had helped big brands stay relevant and budding brands establish their footing in markets, guiding them  throughout the brand building journey through innovative and holistic research approach. He also engaged with marketers throughout their brand building journeys from concept through to segmentation, positioning, communications, pricing and partnered with clients to build consumer-centric knowledge-based organisations to drive operational and customer service excellence.

After his extensive research experience in Malaysia and the region, Kamaruld had a stint at senior leadership roles at Johor Corporation, QSR Brands Holdings (KFC/Pizza Huts) and OBYU Holdings.

He graduated from Washington University in St Louis and was the founding EXCO members of Malaysian Research Society of Malaysia (MRSM).
