About RHRN

Building a Future of Rights, Equality, and Youth Empowerment

Right Here Right Now (RHRN) is a global partnership that works to ensure that young people in all their diversity can enjoy their sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) in gender-just societies. The programme places young people at the centre of advocacy efforts and supports civil society organizations to influence policies, shift social norms, and strengthen access to youth-friendly information and services.

RHRN focuses on empowering young people, strengthening youth-led movements, and promoting inclusive and rights-based approaches to Comprehensive Sexuality Education (CSE). Through collaboration between global, regional, and national partners, the programme contributes to sustainable change in laws, policies, and social attitudes affecting young people.

Our Visions

The second phase of the programme, RHRN2 (2021–2025), aims to ensure that young people in all their diversity are able to make informed choices about their sexuality and relationships and can exercise their sexual and reproductive health and rights.

RHRN2 envisions societies where:

  • Young people are empowered and meaningfully engaged
  • Gender equality and inclusion are promoted
  • Positive social norms support youth SRHR
  • Governments are accountable for rights-based policies
  • Civil society movements are strong and collaborative

The programme operates through multi-stakeholder partnerships and emphasizes youth leadership, advocacy, and knowledge generation at national, regional, and global levels.

Long-Term Outcomes

RHRN2 works towards four long-term outcomes

Empowered Young People
Young people in all their diversity are empowered to make informed decisions about their sexuality, voice their needs, and claim their sexual and reproductive health and rights. This includes strengthening youth leadership, access to information, and meaningful participation.
Positive Social Norms and Public Support
A critical mass of actors reinforces positive norms and values on young people’s SRHR and gender equality. This involves engaging communities, influencers, media, and institutions to create enabling environments.
Policies and Accountability
Governments adopt, implement, and are held accountable for human rights-based policies and laws that advance young people’s SRHR. This outcome focuses on advocacy, policy dialogue, and monitoring implementation.
Strengthened Civil Society
Civil society organizations and movements are strengthened to jointly advance young people’s SRHR and gender justice. This includes coalition building, movement strengthening, and inclusive participation.
